          Major Requirements. You must complete the hours described below:

            30 hrs. of applied geography core courses: GGR 230, 250, 330, 331, 361, 371, 480, EGR 270, CSE 120, either CSE 122 or CSE 123.

            14 hrs. of remote sensing emphasis courses: GGR 422, 423, 424, and PHY 141.

            3 hrs. of aerial photography interpretation.

            7 hrs. to be selected with the approval of the advisor.

          Minor in Remote Sensing.

          20 hours required: GGR 230, GGR 422, GGR 423, GGR 424, 6 hours from 2 related geography/forestry courses selected with your minor advisor's approval.

          GGR 422 Remote Sensing Techniques I (4). Introductory principles of electromagnetic radiation and analysis techniques of visible and near infrared photography and imagery. 3 hrs. lecture, 3 hrs. lab. Prerequisites: GGR 250 and MAT 112 or permission of instructor. Fall.

          GGR 423 Remote Sensing Techniques II (4). Analysis techniques of non-visible remotely sensed radar and thermal imagery. 3 hrs. lecture, 3 hrs.lab. Prerequisites: GGR 250 and MAT 112 or permission of instructor. Spring.

          GGR 424 Remote Sensing Techniques III (2). Instrumentation and procedures required for gathering and interpreting remotely sensed data in the field. 1 hour lecture, 3 hrs. lab. Prerequisite: GGR 422. Spring.
