My name is Brenda Lee Goins and I'm thirty-one years old. I was born in Welch, West Virginia. I've been married for 12 years to my high school sweetheart. He's an active duty Marine stationed at MCAS Yuma. We have two children ages 9 and 5 both are boys. I've wanted to teach since the age of five years old. I've worked in various preschools for 11years. I was introduced to special needs children through my husband's sister. Who is mentally handicapped. I volunteered for two years on her Special Olympic Team in Sarasota Fl. That is where I realized I wanted to work with special needs children. So, when I decided to go back to school. I knew right away that I wanted to major in Special Ed. I'm currently employed at Desert Mesa Elementary School where I work with preschool special ed. students. I'm excited about the Dreams program and can't wait to graduate.
