Hello! My name is Joena Ezroj and I'm 23 years old. I was born and raised in San
Diego, California and moved to Yuma with my mother 2 years after my parents divorced.
For the past 4 years of living in Arizona, I've been blessed in the areas of:
education, work, friends, and being near to family. Although San Diego is quite
more the sight than Yuma is, living in Yuma has been a positive experience. The
doors that have been opened to me have assisted towards my goal in becoming a
teacher. I'm currently a special education itinerary aid at Woodard Junior High
School-- and having a blast!!! I love my job. Fortunately, my work experiences
have been most encouraging and enjoyable. I've been working with sped students
for 2 years now. These kids stir a special interest in me to guide and educate
them. Special Education programs are needed more than they are offered. This I
realized as I became more involved in the education field. Bottom line is that
I am fueled and on the path of preparation to becoming an equipped teacher that
has the vision of making a difference. What started as a general interest for
children, broadened into sped. These kids have definitely motivated me to desire
to become their future teacher. Career wise, there is nothing that moves me more
than making a difference in people's lives. As an educator, I will be able to
input my ideas and efforts to build and create the programs that we are lacking.
DREAMS and NAU are enabling me to reach my goals. As much as I'm excited about
my education, I'm also appreciative for all the support that both organizations
have granted me. I look forward to becoming part of the education "team".
