Introduction

The Joint Arizona-New Mexico Depository Library Meeting began several years ago as a way of linking the depository library community of both states. Concerns and conditions of library service being similar, it seemed a natural idea for linkage and networking to provide better service, overcome distances and discover new ideas. First held in Flagstaff in 1994, the Joint Meeting has rotated through Tempe, AZ., in 1996, and Albuquerque, NM., in 1998.
