NAU Russian Program
NAU's Program in Russian offers:
- three years of language study
- a fourth year of specialized study in the form of independent studies
- a student exchange program:
- a four-week academic program in Barnaul, Siberia
- a cultural program in Moscow and St. Petersburg
- travel on the Trans-Siberian Railway
- homestays
- the opportunity to interact with Russian exchange students at NAU
from Barnaul and other universities in the former Soviet Union
- an interdisciplinary Russian area studies minor
- core courses (17 hours) from: RUS 201-304, HIS 450:451,
POS 361
- an additional 3-6 hours from: ECO 483, RUS 303:304, POS 460
- student-faculty Russian Cultural Organization
- a way for NAU students and the Flagstaff community to become
aquainted with Russian culture and language through such activities as the
annual Russian Dinner
- a way for NAU students participating in NAU's exchange program to
raise scholarship money for their travel to Siberia
