What does it mean to be a member of the Colorado Plateau Chapter of the SCB?

Being a chapter member means that you are interested in contributing to the conservation of biological diversity on the Colorado Plateau, and that you believe that the biological sciences have a meaningful role to play in planning, implementing, and monitoring conservation activities, human land and resource use, and environmental change. Being a member does not commit you to any specific role or requirements, but it does announce that you are active and interested in collaborating with others to apply the best science to conservation efforts.

Being a member involves contributing to the chapter’s activities via honest dialog, scholarly activities, public outreach, and/or education.  Membership also means that you are willing to support the chapter’s activities by paying a modest dues, if you are financially able.
