ClarisWorks -- Spreadsheets

Spreadsheets can be used for a variety of classroom applications. As a classroom teacher, using a spreadsheet can reduce your workload by helping you take care of recording and calculate grades.
Spreadsheets are similar to the database in that it is a way of collecting information. However, that information can be numerical and formulas can be created to manipulate the numbers to produce quick and easy calculations.

In addition to grading, many teachers, use spreadsheets in a similar way as databases for keeping handy lists of many other bits of info, such as; videos, books lists, field trip locations, special speakers, and even pizza delivery.
Here is a sample of the Grade book created by the
Stationery Helper.
