Research Interests:

My primary research focus is in the area of foot morphology and its relationship to normal and abnormal foot mechanics. The principle directions of investigation include: 1) the efficacy of foot orthoses for the treatment of foot disorders with a mechanical origin; 2) the durability of non-molded and molded materials in relation to their ability to reduce pressures acting on the plantar surface of the foot; 3) the development of a classification scheme utilizing static foot measurements to predict dynamic foot movement, and 4) the influence of lower leg rotation on hindfoot and midfoot motion during walking in both women and men.
