JOURNAL READING 1: Before you explore the reading for this week, The Pristine Myth: The Landscape of the Americas in 1492, respond to these questions with, clear, concise statements. Be brief, but respond with clear details. Post all statements together as one journal entry. Save in a word processing file on your personal floppy disk. In this course, conservation will be looked at in more depth. Think about what you already know about conservation, what you and your family may do to help in this area, and/or anything that you may already have your opinions about the topic. What do you already know about this topic?

Think about what you don't know about conservation. What would you like to know about this topic, and/or the reasons for taking this course?

We all have our own preconceived ideas about conservation (what do I feel, believe, etc). Think about what your biases may be about the topic of conservation. How and where to you form these opinions?
