Outside Interests
Anne L Hart, PT, PhD
"In the pursuit of learning, every day something is acquired.
In the pursuit of Tao, every day something is dropped."
--Tao Te Ching, Chapter Forty-Eight
Rhine Promenade, Bonn Germany, October 2004
In my academic life I make acquisitions everyday. On these pages I pursue dropping
things. One of these days I will find balance in the universe, either that or
I will learn to juggle.
These are my outside interests; how I re-energize, refuel, and catch my breath.
It is important to find balance in life. And it is especially important to breathe.
Don't forget to breathe, and never forget to wear your bicycle helmet.
"It is not wise to rush about. Controlling the breath causes
strain. If too much energy is used, exhaustion follows."
--Tao Te Ching, Chapter Fifty-Five
