*    To emphasize a partnership approach to service provision


To complete this assignment successfully, you should:

1.    Carefully read the assigned journal article, "A Strength-Based Approach in Support of Multi-Risk Families: Principles and Issues", Powell, Diane S. and Catherine J. Batsche, Topics in Early Childhood Special Education, Spring 97, Vol.17 Issue1.  

2.    To locate this article go to the online Cline Library, click "Select Database by Title", find "Academic Search Elite" in the listing and click, log in, select "Academic Search Elite" and click "enter", in the find text box type "family services", select "full text", and in the journal text box type "Topics in Early Childhood Special Education" click search, this article should be the third article in the listing.  

3.    Write a brief paragraph defining family support and how it is operationalized in a strength-based model (10 sentences minimum for 10 points).
