Web Activity

Objectives:

*    To introduce the concept of family systems and family quality of life

*    To build awareness and sensitivity to differing perspectives within a family system

*    To differentiate between person-centered and family-centered planning


To complete this assignment successfully, you should:

1.    Log on to the Beach Center on Families and Disability website and take a look. 

2.    At a minimum read; 

Current Research: "Family Quality of Life" and  "Family and Professional Partnerships"

Previous Research:  "Family-Centered Service Delivery", "Fathers", "Family Support Research", and "Person-Centered Planning"

3.     Email the instructor a summary of your visit to the Beach Center on Families and Disability.  To receive 10 points for this assignment, at a minimum write a brief paragraph (10 sentences) that may include your thoughts on the assigned articles, other articles you read at this site, the purpose of the Beach Center and/or other comments you have about the site. (Remember: use this format for your email subject box:  Dana ID/web/wk2)
