To complete this assignment successfully, you should:
1. Find two (2) websites that you think a parent would benefit from visiting if they were searching for information and support in order to cope with a particular transition point in parenting their child with a disability.
2. Consider the lesson and readings when you respond to this assignment. How do these websites fit the models you read about? Would they help a family cope or adapt? A website with useful information isn't the only factor in the coping process, even though many families now search the Internet for help. In addition to the websites, what factors would need to be present to help a family deal with a stressful situation?
3. This assignment is worth 15 points. Use your spell checker, save your work and use this format in the subject box - Dana ID/web/wk3 - when you email me your response.
4. HINT: Some of the links you viewed for previous assignments might lead you in the right direction. However, I don't want you to email me websites that have been assigned for previous viewing, or sites that you have posted on the VCC Bulletin Board. There are many, many family-oriented websites on the Internet. Try your search engine.
