Objective:

*    To raise awareness of creativity and flexibility in different programs and natural settings


To complete this assignment successfully, you should:

1.    Read the following Family Needs Survey Forms on the National Center for Family Support website and "The Power to Choose: Supports for Families Caring for Individuals with Developmental Disabilities."

2.   Choose 5 questions/statements from the surveys that reflect family and individual needs.  Identify how each could be a strength or need for the family or individual..  Would the situation help them cope or cause stress?  As a family member, individual with a disability, or service provider (you can choose different roles for any of the five questions/statements) what supports or services would fit the situation to enhance the positive coping strategies or address the need for services? 

3.        This assignment is worth 20 points and is due by midnight on Sunday, March 10th.
