
CSD PROGRAM APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS
NAU Applications for Admission are accepted November 1 – January 31 of each year.
Starting with the 2010 Application Cycle, the NAU Department of Communication Sciences
and Disorders is joining the new Communication Sciences and Disorders Centralized Application Service known
as CSDCAS. There are now two parts to applying to our program; both application processes can be done in
stages, saved and then re-entered at a later time.
Part I.
Apply online to the CSDCAS on their web page located at https://portal.csdcas.org/. You should begin the CSDCAS application process as soon as possible. Your CSDCAS application must be completed and submitted by January 15 so that your CSDCAS information can reach us by our final deadline of January 31. Read the CSDCAS application instructions thoroughly and be prepared to submit the following to them:Part II.
- GRE test results: you enter your scores on the CSDCAS application
- Personal essay in electronic format
- 3 letters of recommendation (paper or electronic): references related to academic performance are preferred; if a professional reference is submitted, it must be from a speech-language pathology professional
- Official transcripts: send directly to CSDCAS
Apply online to the NAU Graduate College on their web page located at www.nau.edu/gradcol; this page will be open from November 1 – January 31. The NAU Graduate College application will require the following:Applicants should expect to receive an email regarding their admission status by mid-March. Applicants accepted into the Summers-Only track will be expected to submit a verification of their employment status, consistent with program track requirements as outlined at http://jan.ucc.nau.edu/~csd-p/graduate/summer/index.php.
- Program choice of "Speech Pathology, Clinical-MS"

- Official transcripts sent directly to the NAU Graduate College, PO Box 4125, Flagstaff AZ 86011
- GRE test results: your official GRE scores must be electronically submitted directly from GRE to the NAU Graduate College; NAU’s GRE Institution Code is 4006
- Course Prerequisites: A listing of completed classes that meet our undergraduate course prerequisite requirements; applicants who are offered admission into our Full-Time Regular or Summers-Only track will be expected to submit a course description or class syllabus for each course listed
