Tom Ziegler and I went to Ashurst at 1:00 in the afternoon.  The trout fishing was very bad.  We didn't see anyone catch a fish.  I did catch one large Northern Pike.

This is the largest pike I have ever caught,  11 pounds 0 onces and 35 inches long.

I caught this on a 5 inch Megabait Charlie.  It was rainbow trout color.  I caught it near the bottom in 8 feet of water.  It was near where the water runs in from Coconino Reservoir.  At first I thought I had a snag.  Then the fish shook it's head and I knew I had a pike.
