What aspects of the various contemporary and classical environmental theories do you see in each of the following environmental groups? Please review the web sites of each of these environmental groups thoroughly. Understand their mission, what they do to achieve their goals, how their organization is structured, what the philosophy behind their work is. Then in each of the text boxes, discuss how the ideas of Carson, Thoreau, Schumaker, Conservationism, Deep Ecology, Ecofeminism and Social Ecology may have influenced these groups. Some groups may only show a strong influence from one of these social theorists or theories. Some may have been obviously influenced in multiple ways.
