Visit a Native American community on a reservation for a minimum of one day. (If you are a member of a Native community, visit one that is different from your own). Describe the governmental structure. Who is the president? How is the tribal council organized? What is the role of the people in political decisions? Offer some descriptive statistics of the population (example: average age, education level, etc). Learn as much as you can! Talk with residents. Make observations. What did you learn?????? How do you connect any of your observations with the readings throughout this module? Post on the VCC and share your observations with your fellow classmates. Revisit the site so as to answer any questions or engage in further discussion.
