This module is devoted to Native American perspectives on Environmental Justice. We will use the book “Defending Mother Earth” throughout the topics in this module.
Objectives:
1. To understand the connections between environmental preservation and
cultural preservation.
2. To understand how differing worldviews influence different ways of
treating the earth.
3. To understand how power is wielded to gain control over natural resources
and to explore the repercussions of this.
