Lichen Planus Erosive and Bullous

Etiology

Unknown

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Predilection

Greater in middle age

Greater in females

 

 

 

 

 

Location

Skin and oral mucosa

Oral mucosa=buccal mucosa, tongue, labial mucosa, floor of mouth and gingiva

 

 

 

 

Clinical Appearance

Oral lesion= Wickham's striae

Erosive and plaque like lesions may occur

Gingival lesions= desquamative gingivitis

Treatment

None if asymptomatic

Topical corticosteroids if symptomatic

Follow-up evaluation
