General
Information
This case study
examines policies and regulations controlling air emissions from a major industrial
facility in the United States.
The case study uses the hypothetical chemical production facility owned by the
"Colorado Chemical Plant" and located in Boulder, Colorado. Remember, all
values in the case study are hypothetical. The chemical plant has air emissions
associated with four aspects of the Colorado Chemical Plant. Click on each of the
following links to learn more about those emissions:
Production
Building
Waste Water Treatment
Plant
Employee Parking
Heating Plant
This semester, students have been organized into three teams. By clicking on the
following links, you can see what questions each team has been asked to answer.

Please work with
your other team members to answer the questions and be prepared to make a 10 to 15 minute
presentation of you answers and analysis to the class on February 3 and to
lead a class discussion following your presentation.
