Topic Objective:
This topic focuses on the shear behavior of the horizontal diaphragm, with emphasis given to sheathing nailing requirements. Upon completion of this topic, you should be able to complete a basic flexible diaphragm design which includes panel specification, blocking requirements, nail size, and nail pattern.
