Words UC101 DR. CAMPBELL SPRING 2000 The following is an outline of "WORKING WORDS: An Expository Paradigm that Works," by Dr. Dowling Campbell. The complete version will be available on our web site. You will be required to follow this format for papers in this course. Your paper on Lord of the Flies is due on 2/17. The model presented by Dr. Campbell in "Working Words" utilizes examples from Lord of the Flies. Utilize the outline below to evaluate and reorganize at least one of the papers you’ve done in this course thus far. I. Titles II. Introductory Paragraph (five sentences max. with no argument, examples, extended definitions , or detailed background.)
III. Body (paper’s argument; includes same number and type of paragraphs for each thesis item) IV. Concluding Paragraph (Try to avoid "In conclusion, In summary." Keep quotes to a minimum)
