To complete this assignment successfully, you should:

Using a hard copy of the Rating Scales Instrument, you are now going to analyze a lesson plan by following the steps in the following activity.

Implements and Manages Instruction and Assessment

1. Review the Evaluation Scale for "Implements and Manages Instruction and Assessment" 13-26 on the Assessment Rating Scales.

2. Watch a video of Letterman, staring Debby, a student teacher in her 14th week of student teaching, who teachers a review lesson on writing a friendly letter to first graders.

3. Find the "Implements and Manages Instruction and Assessment" 13-26 Worksheet with blank boxes .

4. On the Worksheet place a check mark in the box for each indicator that the teacher has demonstrated in the lesson plan.

1. Begins lesson promptly and effectively

A Student teacher activates or establishes prior knowledge of current lesson
