Web Assignment 1: How are Web sites using e-mail?

To complete this assignment successfully, you should:

  1. Read the assignment carefully
  2. Complete the activity as outlined below

Every Web site should have an e-mail link for communicating with visitors and obtaining valuable feedback. Answering all inquiries promptly and fully is important in cultivating long-term relationships. Send a short, simple e-mail message requesting information from three different hospitality-related Web sites. Include in your response the URLs of the sites you requested information from.

1. Did you receive an acknowledgement or automated
response? How long did it take to receive a personal reply? Did the replies actually answer the questions you asked?

2. Evaluate each site in terms of how its e-mail management system is affecting its Internet marketing efforts.
