1. Present your answers/discussion to the following question in the conference center. Each student in the class should have an individual entry.

Call a hotel, explain that you are a student in a hotel management program, etc. (be very polite) and ask (the front office manager, for example) what their policy is on "walking a guest".

Do they have a relationship with a certain hotel to walk their guests to?

Do they give them extras, such as making a phone call to relatives to tell them where they are going?

Do they offer a taxi service to the other hotel?

Do they pay the difference in rate?

Etc.

List what hotel you called, the person you talked to, and the answers he/she gave you. Discuss your response with your classmates in the Virtual Conference Center.
