DISTANCE LEARNING MASTER'S DEGREE PROGRAM

Master of Administration with an
Emphasis in Health Sciences

The Distance Learning (DL) Master of Administration with a Health Sciences (MA/HS) emphasis is a two-year online degree program designed especially for students who are working full-time. The MA/HS degree will enhance management skills while providing a specialization in health promotion, enabling managers in health related fields to plan, implement, and evaluate health promotion programs in the worksite and in the community.

This degree program is for you if:

You would like to earn your Master's degree through a DL format while continuing to work;
You want to enhance your current management skills;
You want to learn more about health promotion/disease prevention;
You would like to qualify for career advancement opportunities;
You want to work in the field of health promotion;
You want to earn a graduate degree

Overview of Degree Program

NAU has been offering on-campus degree programs in Health Promotion related areas for over 50 years. The MA is a 36 credit hour online degree program, administered by the Graduate College. This degree is designed to provide quality, flexible graduate business education with a focus upon specific industry emphases for mid-career professionals. The health promotion emphasis consists of 15 credit hours of health promotion courses, in addition to the 15 credit hours in general business studies, a 3 credit hour elective, and the 3 credit hour capstone course.

Program Admission for the MA/HS Degree

  • Applicants must possess a bachelor's degree from an accredited university.
  • Admission to the MA program is on a competitive basis.
  • Admission review is ongoing.
  • Admission decisions are based on an evaluation of all information available about an applicant.
