ONLINE SLPA PROGRAM

The purpose of this project is to offer courses in Speech-Language Pathology Assistance (SLPA) completely online. The courses will lead to certification as a Speech Language Pathology Assistant provided by Northern Arizona University's Program in Speech-Language Sciences and Technology (SST). The certification meets the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) technical coursework guidelines for Speech-Language Pathology Assistants. Additional general education coursework and clinical training is recommended and may be required depending on state laws in your geographical location.

Arizona SLPA Licensing

The Department of Health Special Licensing Division is in the process of creating licensure for speech-language pathology assistants. View their website for information on progress toward Arizona state licensure of speech-language pathology assistants.
