- Current NAU Saxophonists, Beau Schenck, Scotty Phillips, and Kristen Brock performed with The Temptations (Fall 09)
- Recent graduates, Dannel Espinoza, Josh Meyers, and Michael Mortarotti were named Grand Prize winners at the Coleman Chamber Music Competition. This is the first time in the 63 year history of the Coleman Competition that saxophonists have won the Grand Prize.
- Congratulations to Dan Allen, winner of the 2008/09 NAU Concerto Competition Dan Allen is the 7th winner from the NAU Saxophone Studio since 2000
- Dannel Espinoza was named National Second Prize Winner in the 2007 Music Teachers National Association Young Artist Competition
- Josh Meyers (BM in Saxophone Performance 2006) and Noah Bedrin (BM in Saxophone Performance 2004) were named National First Prize Winners in the Music Teachers National Association Chamber Music Competition 2007
- Dannel Espinoza, NAU Saxophonist, was named First Prize Winner in the Southwest Region Collegiate Artist Solo Competition sponsored by Music Teachers National Association 2006-2007
- Dannel Espinoza, NAU Saxophonist, won the 2006-07 and 2005-06 Arizona State Collegiate Artist Solo Competition sponsored by Music Teachers National Association (winner two years in a row)
- Dannel Espinoza, NAU Saxophonist, won 2nd prize at the Tucson Symphony Concerto Competition 2006
- The NAU Saxophone Quartet won the 2005-06 and 2004-05 Arizona Music Teachers National Association Chamber Music Competition (Two years in a row)
