Final Examination

Your own Psych-Educational Evaluation

Your final will take approximately 1 week to complete. Do not under any circumstances procrastinate and try and do this in the last day or two of the class. You will not be able to complete the assignment.

  1. Day 1: Take The Classical IQ Test…save your results, and think about what the results mean.
  2. Day 2: Take the Emotional IQ Test…Save your results, think about how this relates to your IQ test and what has happened to you in your own life.
  3. Day 3-5: Take the AMPM Test…Save your results, think about how this relates to your IQ and EQ tests and what you know about yourself and the incidents that have happened in your life.
    1. Look at the assessments that you read and reviewed for completeness and further questions. Think about how your evaluation will look similar and different to the one that you have looked at.
    2. Choose one of the evaluations and use it as a template. Fill in your own information such as birthdate, evaluation date, factors impacting testing and other simple areas that only require easy responses that you are certain that you know.
    3. Begin working your way through. Make sure you include:

• i. History

• ii. Behavioral Observations

• iii. IQ Results

• iv. EQ Results

• v. AMPM Results

• vi. Summary

• vii. Global Assessment of Functioning

• viii. Behavioral Recommendations

  1. Sit on the evaluation a second day and really think about what you have said…what you should say and what should be clarified.
  2. Edit and turn in your final!!!

IF THIS DOESN'T END UP REPEATING THE SAME INFORMATION OVER AND OVER AGAIN BUT IN SLIGHTLY DIFFERENT CONTEXT YOU NEED TO RETHINK YOUR PSYCH-EVAL.

DO realize this is clinical writing. Adjectives aren't necessary or desired.

Stick to only that which is pertinent to the immediate understanding of yourself as a person in the classroom…so history shouldn't be your merit badges…but major events and family members…things that are likely to impact you on a daily basis because they are on-going or were traumatic.

Be Concise…and know that this is just to get you to the place where you understand assessment from the kids point of you from the evaluators point of view…and yes you now have the teacher's point of view.
