Assessment is part art and part science. You will be taking a lot of tests. Just get a feel for all of them. Answer honestly. On some tests you will note you have biases and tendencies to answer in a more socially desireable way then is actually the case. Other questions ask something and even though you may answer in a particular way you may not share the motives that the test's author assumed you had. How do you think this impacts reliability? Yes these tests are fun and informative but it is more important that you begin to gain insight and some perspective into the testing process.

  2. Sign up for an account…most tests will be free others you will have to pay for.
  3. Take The Ambition Test
  4. Write a 3-minute essay.
      1. Begin by typing the name of the test and the results you received (hint: cutting and pasting can be helpful here)
      2. Now grab a timer…don't set it yet…
      3. Your essay will be your response to the test. Include:

    • i. How much insight did the test give you about yourself?

    • ii. Do you think the test was right?

    • iii. How did you feel while you were taking the test?

Now go ahead and set your timer and type for exactly three minutes
