Memo Assignment

Print out the sample documents for setting up a child study team and write a memo to teachers in the school explaining how to use each one of the forms to meet the spirit of IDEA '97. You may write one overarching memo or six individual ones addressing each task in building and utilizing a Study Team

Document samples: Request for assistance Letter to parents Health Status Achievement and school status Social History Intervention Team Meeting

Rubric

Excellent: The memo addresses the concept of Child Study Team in an appealing manner. Each part of the process is explained and would be clear to a novice approaching the process. Memo is grammatically correct and free from error. (The reason for this is a critical concept - whatever we share with peers or home needs to be done at a professional level with evidence that we know the basics, not just that we expect children to learn to spell) PS Feel free to have a peer check over everything that goes out to those we serve
