Print out the sample documents for the preassessment or Study Team part of IDEA '97 and write a short critique, explaining how you would use the suggested forms to meet the spirit of IDEA '97, either "as is" or enhanced with your personal changes. Remember that certain Federal and State regulations apply, but there is still much room for a unique teacher approach or district specific guidelines.
