Helices
Helices
This page has several dpgraphs of helices (helixes).
They can all be described by the parametric equation
r(t) = < cos(t), sin(t), a t >
for some constant a. As the helix goes once around
in the x-y plane, t increases by 2 pi and z increases
by delta z = 2 pi a. The different helices shown here
are labeled by delta z.
delta z = 1
(high resolution)
delta z = -1
delta z = 0.5
(high resolution)
0.2 < delta z < 1
-1 < delta z < 1
