ECI 620 Early Childhood Curriculum
Modules

Introduction

This course is divided into eight modules. The first introuctory module is of one week duration. The rest of the modules are two weeks in duration. We feel that with the nature of the reading and the expectation in this course for reflection and dialogue that each area we focus upon requires two weeks of 'class' time. In the section below each module is outlined and the expectations for the period of each module are described.

Module 4 - Piagetian Influences in Early Childhood Curriculum Feb 19-Mar 4

SPRING BREAK Mar. 5- 9

Module 5 - Reggio Emilia Model Mar 12-Mar 25

Module 6 - Quality Early Childhood Curriculum Mar 26-Apr 8

Module 7 - Parental Involvement Apr 9-Apr 22

Module 8 - International Perspectives - Apr 23-May 4
