Objectives
  • Discuss the historical events that affected the development of ethical codes and regulations for research.
  • Identify the ethical principles that direct the conduct of research on human subjects.
  • Describe the human rights that require protection in research
    • the right to self determination
    • the right to privacy
    • the right to anonymity and confidentiality
    • the right to fair treatment
