Notes: A headset microphone is optional but can help to prevent audio feedback. The external Apple iSight camera has been discontinued but most new Macs now come with a built-in iSight camera.

2. Download the client software. In some cases, other choices are available.

3. Create an account.

4. Configure for your equipment. Make sure that your audio and video input and output are set correctly.

5. Add a buddy (you will need to know his/her account name).


Troubleshooting: If it's not working, the following site has good advice. It's also good to try to simplify. Try first between two computers on the same network with the same platform. Then add complexity.
