Topic 2: The Dissertation Process

Welcome to Research Design, dear cyberspace champions! It's so great having you with us for this all-important course!

And remember, if at any time there is anything at all that I can do to make your "journey" a bit easier, more pleasant, less frustrating, etc., etc., please just let me know! I hereby make a commitment work in positive, close and joyful partnership with you to fully meet your needs regarding research -- that's a promise!

I believe in focusing doctoral course work as much as possible on "the end goal," which for most/all of us is the dissertation. In other words, I don't want to see you waste your precious time on patchwork, isolated course credit "hoop jumps" that don't give you anything of value towards preparing you for the dissertation!

Soooo .... my goal here is for the "end product" of this course to be the first step towards the completion of your actual dissertation! (How's that for 'relevant?!')

To complete this Topic successfully, please complete the following activities in the order shown below:

icon

icon ONLINE READING 1: Electronic Textbook - The Research Road Map

icon ASSIGNMENT 1: Journeys and Destinations: The Research Road Map

Once you have completed these activities you should:

Go on to Topic 3: So... What's Your Problem?
or
Go back to Module 1: The Research Road Map
