GLG101 FIRST GROUP HOMEWORK, PART II

To do this part of the homework you will need two pairs of blue/red glasses (from Dr. Riggs), which MUST be returned, 
and the big map outside our classroom.

1)  Find the locations of plate boundaries that you have listed in the first part of the assignment on the 3D map.  
Describe them in detail based on what you see:   this map dominantlty shows topography  - so what is the 
topography of each plate boundary you described, and how does it change over the length of the boundary?

2)  Pick one of the following two features and describe it in detail.  Use your book and/or the internet to 
make an interpretation as to what sort of tectonic boundary it is.

	a.  the (approximately) straight line that goes between the Yucatan Peninsula and the Caribbean arc 
(Lesser Antilles)

	b. the straight line that parallels India to its east (in the text map, it is right next to the A in 
Australian-Indian plate):  it is called the 90 E Ridge
