ATTENTION: POS 220 (Summer Session 2006)
Welcome! I am busy converting my previous online version of POS 220 into the new Vista delivery system. When it is ready (probably later in June) you will be able to access that course directly in WebCT Vista. In the meantime, if you wish to get a headstart here is the textbook you need: We the People: An Introduction to American Politics, shorter 5th edition by Benjamin Ginsberg, Theodore Lowi, and Margaret Weir. The NAU bookstore should have copies of this text soon, but if you prefer to order it from one of the many online sources, please use the following ISBN # -- 0-393-92619-2. This will ensure that you get the correct version. In addition, you will need to have access to a copy of the Arizona State Constitution. There will be a link to an online version of the state constitution within the course itself, but it is somewhat awkward to use and expensive to copy. So if you can find a copy at your library or from the Arizona Secretary of State (you can sometimes get an inexpensive hard copy from them) you might find this easier than using the online version. I look forward to seeing you all soon; in the meantime, have a great summer!
