My current research involving graduate students includes:

• Miocene extensional faulting and transtensional basins in the Lake Mead region east of Las Vegas, Nevada & Arizona

• Evolution and active tectonics of the southern Gulf of California oblique-divergent plate boundary  [supported by one NSF grant with colleagues: Ramon Arrowsmith, ASU; Graham Kent & Neal Driscoll, Scripps Institute of Oceanography; Tim Dixon, Miami U]
