Don't miss the Fall Plant Sale!

Dates:

September 22nd and 23rd

from 9-4 in the Biological Sciences foyer

Tropical herbs, vines, and succulents!!!

Our members sport hooded sweatshirts with the logo above! Open to all members of the NAU community, the Botany Club spends most of their time helping the Biology greenhouse technician maintain the teaching collection of live plants. They also propagate plants for their own fall plant sale or Tri-Beta's spring plant sale. Now in its third year, the Botany Club has donated most of the proceeds from fund raisers to purchasing new plants for the teaching collection! They have made trips to southern California (Huntington Botanical Gardens) and Tucson to visit special collections, talk to experts, and acquire plants for the teaching greenhouse. This past year the club did volunteer weeding at the Olivia White Hospice House in Flagstaff and they recently bought eight new compost bins that will be used to recycle greenhouse waste.

Through out the year the Botany Club will also host speakers for their special career development lecture series.
