PL599 : The Class : Creating Character : Using Focal Points : Module 3 Write up Module 3 Write upThis is the final assignment for a grade. Have your response in to me by 5pm, Monday of finals week. I will let you know when it has been received. Try to keep this within 3 pages, single spaced, 12 pt. font. Answer the following: 1. How effective do you believe public participation is in the planning process? Contrast two situations- one where public participation is not needed and may actually hinder appropriate actions, and the other where more public participation is needed in order to find an appropriate solution. You may use your articles and any planning experiences you have, as well as the readings, and techniques presented. 2. How can planning around community focal points (easy transportation can also be a major focus) ensure stability and sustainability? Think about zoning, economic tie-ins, social equity, values, and infrastructure. How proactive should communities be in ensuring an identity, and when is enough too much? 3. What was the one reading or site from this course that you will take with you. Why? What connected? I hope you have found this course informative and that at least some of the topics and readings peaked your interest or thought processes a bit..Enjoy your break/holidays and have a good life.
