I am an assistant professor of English Education at Northern Arizona University. I teach graduate and undergraduate courses in writing pedagogy, trends and theories in teaching English, and multiple literacies. I am also an academic advisor and I supervise student teachers. My research focuses on writing pedagogy and composition theory, technology in the language arts classroom, and professionalism in teacher education.

I am a member of the Arizona English Teachers Association, the National Council of Teachers of English, and the International Reading Association.
