Current Courses

Dr. Sherri McCarthy, Professor of Educational Psychology, is internationally known for her work in international psychology, developing critical thinking skills and the application of psychology to issues in criminal justice and education. She is a Fellows of Division 52 of the American Psychological Association, International Psychology and the Division 2 (Teaching) Liaison to the Council on International Relations in Psychology and one of the founders of the P3 Global Psychology Project. She is on the Board of Directors of the International Council of Psychologists and the Asian Psychological Association. She has been the lead faculty member for the graduate program in Human Relations at NAU-Yuma since 1996. Sherri was a Fulbright Scholar in Russia from 2003-2004 and is a CNPq National Research Scholar at the Federal University in Porto Alegre Brazil.  She has also been a visiting professor at the University of Malaysia and University of Bologna. Her published research spans many areas of psychology, including peace psychology, international issues in psychology, anger management training, substance abuse issues, grief and bereavement counseling, adolescence, personality, teaching, assessment and other topics.
