Numerous opportunities
are available each semester for percussionists to
study and perform with NAU instrumental ensembles in
on-campus concerts and for frequent state and regional
tours. Performance ensembles include Wind
Symphony, Symphonic Band, Collegiate Band, Marching
Band, Percussion Ensemble, University Orchestra, Opera
Orchestra, Flagstaff Symphony Orchestra, Jazz
Ensembles, Jazz Combos, Vocal Jazz Ensemble, and Pep
Band.

Recent performances
include a 'Bands of America' regional competition
exhibition at Bank One Ballpark in Phoenix, and a
halftime show at an Arizona Cardinals football game -
both by the NAU Marching Band, and a CBDNA conference
guest performance in Reno, Nevada by the NAU Wind
Symphony. The NAU School of Music hosts and provides
performances for marching band festivals, jazz
festivals, large concert ensemble festivals, and
composers’ conferences, in addition to its renowned
summer music camp – all to large and appreciative crowds
and fans.
