How many times have you heard that a picture is worth a thousand words? While it may be true that a Monet or Mozart cannot be put into words, it is important for artists to develop the ability to write feelingfully about their art. So much academic writing is passionless, devoid of feelings which comprise, after all, what music is all about. One part of your semester project requires you to write. While your prose must be technical in the sense that it accurately describes forms and procedures, it must also be artistic and eloquent.
