Surveys and other Qualitative Methods

Objectives:
1. Describe strategies used in qualitative research.
2. Identify advantages and disadvantages of various types of survey data collection

3. Given some poorly constructed survey questions, identify and correct the problems.
4. Differentiate between open and closed-ended questions. Discuss advantages to each type of question in a survey.
5. Discuss techniques that help ensure adequate response rate for surveys.
