The Coconino County Fair is our Club's biggest event of the year, and it requires the full effort of nearly all club members to make it work effectively. The first priority is to keep our trains running for four days straight during the Labor Day weekend. Based on the number of brochures we handed out to families, we estimated that between 3,000 and 4,000 people visited our Mountain Pacific Lines layout this year. Our second annual "hospitality tent" placed at our building's entrance was also a huge success, giving visitors the opportunity to explore the hobby of model railroading in more detail. Our raffle was also a smashing success, and three lucky people won pairs of tickets to either the Grand Canyon Railroad or the Verde Canyon Railway. We hope you'll enjoy our photos below, the coming together of trains and people at the County Fair!

One final monsoonal thunderstorm kept everyone wet and looking for refuge on Monday. This view is just outside our building's side entrance door.

The moment of truth: pulling the three lucky raffle winners on Monday afternoon at the end of the Fair. Gotta love those new club hats!
