This seminar is open to both pre-service and practicing teachers.
The focus for this seminar is using hands-on manipulatives to teach major
math concepts and key points with an emphasis on the NCTM process standards
of
- communication
- connections
- representation
- problem solving
- reasoning &
proof
Students are encouraged to bring math manipulative kits from their schools
if they would like ideas for use.
