ECI 593 - Math Manipulatives seminar

Saturdays, 9 am - 1:30 pm, December 13, 20,& January 3     [No class on 12/27!]
This seminar is open to both pre-service and practicing teachers.


The focus for this seminar is using hands-on manipulatives to teach major math concepts and key points with an emphasis on the NCTM process standards of
   
  •  communication
  •  connections
  •  representation
  •  problem solving
  •  reasoning & proof
   

Students are encouraged to bring math manipulative kits from their schools if they would like ideas for use.
